Shannon's sire is *Canal Laurinston (Chip), a wonderful stallion imported from Ireland by Stonybrook Connemaras of Napa, California. Chip is the winner of multiple championships in hand and in performance. He was named Supreme Champion of the West Coast Connemara Show four times and has competed successfully in a variety of disciplines including combined training, hunter/jumper, dressage, foxhunting, driving, and western pleasure. Chip was inspected and approved by the ACPS in 1995. He is very gradually turning grey, and Shannon is also greying in a slow and very unusual pattern! With her elegant long stride, Shannon is loaded with athletic ability. She is friendly and bold. Shannon has a curious nature and is a first-class clown. |

In 2001, Shannon foaled a lovely filly by the Australian-bred stallion *Glenormiston Flurry Knox, who stands at Wildwych Connemaras in Colorado. The filly, Doe Valley Maighe (pictured above with Shannon), is dun and beautifully pony in type. In 2003, Shannon produced a colt, Doe Valley Brosna Go Bragh, by the famous eventing Connemara, Hideaway's Erin Go Bragh. Brosna, a bay gelding, and Shannon are living happily together in the mountains on top of the world in California. |
